“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” - Matthew 28:19

Pathway to discipleship

  • Come to Me

“Come,” He replied, “and you will see.” – John 1:39 (NIV)

Jesus’ first challenge wasn’t complex—it was simple: come and see. When Andrew and John began following Him, Jesus didn’t immediately lay out a plan. Instead, He invited them into a relationship.

He gave them His time, answered their questions, and spent the day with them.

  • BELIEVE IN ME

“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.” – Acts 16:31 (NIV)

After spending time with Jesus, seekers become believers. The second challenge is to believe—to trust Jesus not just as a teacher, but as Savior and Lord. Belief isn’t passive—it’s personal. It means accepting that Jesus is who He says He is and surrendering your life to Him.

  • Follow Me

“Come, follow Me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” – Matthew 4:19 (ESV)

This third stage is deeper—it’s not just believing in Jesus, but following Him in daily life. Eighteen months into His ministry, Jesus told disciples who had already been walking with Him: “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4:19). Jesus didn’t just teach His disciples; He took them with Him—into homes, cities, synagogues, and difficult places—to show them what ministry looks like.

  • Go And Bear Fruit

    Go And Bear Fruit

“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last.” – John 15:16 (NIV)

In the final stage, Jesus moves His followers from students to sent ones. His disciples were no longer just watching—they were leading. Jesus commissions them to reproduce what He did: “Go and make disciples.” Disciples make disciples. This stage is about mentorship, evangelism, spiritual reproduction, and lifelong mission.
